Dirty Fun With Every Man Jack
As Richie prepares for The Wellness Ride, we were fortunate to spend some time with the faces behind the grooming products that will keep Richie clean from coast to coast, Every Man Jack. As a business Every Man Jack has committed to using as many naturally derived and plant-based ingredients as possible, while still delivering exceptional performance, so it’s no surprise that they’re one of our trusted partners!
Who is an Every Man Jack user?
There is no typical EMJ user, we hear from a wide range of guys who love our grooming products. The one thing they all have in common is that they appreciate that our products are affordable get the job done without any harmful ingredients.
It's gotten confusing when reading ingredients, what do yours have that really simplify and separate from others?
It’s more about what isn’t in our products, like parabens, aluminum, dyes, SLS, phthalates, and other harmful ingredients. We also aim to use as many naturally derived and plant based ingredients in our products as we can.
As consumers, what should we pay attention to when looking through ingredients?
When you’re looking at the packaging, look to see if it mentions that the product is cruelty free, uses naturally derived ingredients, is vegan, and where it’s made. Those are all clues to see how responsibly the product is made. If it’s missing those, it’s most likely using ingredients that aren’t as good for you as they could be.
Favorite activity to do that then leads to cleaning up with EMJ?
I love riding my mountain bike. I’m lucky to live about a 15 minute ride from single track and can head there after work for a lap, then come home to #cleanupnice with the activated charcoal body wash and anti-dandruff 2in1 shampoo+conditioner.
How do you define wellness and why should men invest in their own wellness?
Wellness to me is focusing on the handful of things that are really important to me, like family, being active and outdoors, and work. It’s important to invest in yourself because as I’ve found, to be the best me for my family and at work, I need to take time for me.
